A different country every week

Start on Normal difficulty with the Domination goal. Your weekly game saves separately from your regular game. Copy your result during play and invite a friend to try the same country, Normal difficulty and Domination goal. AI decisions and results may differ. The country changes every Monday at 00:00 UTC (09:00 in Korea).

Levy troops, raise production, or fortify a border. Decide which action makes the best use of a province’s turn.

Check your relationships before fighting on several borders. Treaties and alliances can help you prepare for your next move.

From your first levy to your first capture

We started Modern Powers as South Korea with eight troops and ten gold. See the levy, the next turn, and an actual six-troop attack that captured North Korea, with screenshots and observed results.

Start your first game

  1. Choose an objective and a nation

    Pick a scenario, difficulty, and victory objective in the game. Use ‘Choose nation’ to change your starting country.

  2. Take an action on the map

    Select your land, then select it again to levy, develop, or fortify. Select a neighboring province to move or attack.

  3. End the turn and decide again

    Other nations act after you finish. Check troop counts and relationships on the next turn before choosing another move.

Is it free?

Yes. You can start playing without an account or login.

Can I continue later?

Return to the game in the same browser on the same device to load saved progress. Saves do not automatically move between devices. Clearing the site’s stored data also removes progress.

Can I play on a phone?

Play on phones, tablets, and desktops. Rotating a phone to landscape gives you a larger map. Korean and English are available in the game’s sound and language settings.
